Why You Should See a Chiropractor after a Your Car Accident

Car accidents are almost unpreventable. Did you know that over 6 million car accidents happen every YEAR? And that you can get whiplash from a car accident that happened at only 5 MPH?

If you or a loved one have been in an accident, the earlier you start care, the more benefits you will receive!

We see people for all different reasons after a car occident. The most common reasons are:

  1. Whiplash - A sprain/strain of your neck muscles and ligaments

  2. Neck Pain + Headaches

  3. Back Pain

  4. Nerve Radiation, such as tingling down your arms or legs

  5. Overall Aches and Pains

We offer care for all of the above symptoms, and more, for car accident injuries. These include:

  1. Adjustments: Duh, chiropractic adjustments are a great therapy for car accident injuries. After an injury, it is not uncommon for your joints, muscles, and ligaments to be all tense from the inflammation, tension, and stress. Getting adjusted right after your injury is one of the best ways to help you from getting too 'locked up'.

  2. Muscle Therapy: Your muscles will be pretty sore and inflammed post injury. We offer different muscle therapies that can help keep your muscle loose, improve blood flow, and reduce pain. These include muscle scraping, guided stretching, cupping, and other therapies.

  3. Pain Therapy: We offer a couple different pain therapies that can help reduce your pain. Our favorite is Electrical Stimulation, which is a therapy that uses an electrical pulse to help reduce the pain signal to your brain, while reducing pain levels. This can sometimes even offer immediate relief!

  4. Spinal Decompression: A disc herniation or bulge can happen after a car accident from the forces. We offer spinal decompression, which helps decompress your spine, reduce nerve pain, and help your body resorb a disc bulge or herniation.

  5. Corrective Exercises: We offer at home exercises and stretches to help reeducate your muscles through strengthening different areas that were impacted. For example, with whiplash, we often see 'weaker' neck muscles that are contributing to pain. We have different programs that we can help out with to help you regain this strength.

But how does it work with my insurance?

In Kansas, your auto insurance comes with Personal Injury Protection, or PIP. This is money that is specifically set aside fior you and your medical bills. Most, if not all, of your visits should be coverted by your PIP.

We can work with your agent to learn more about how much coverage you have.
